Blood Devouts

Aar-Kron, The Holy Ripper

This model is totally converted. The base is a champion of Khorne on Juggernaut. The champion itself is made of: the original legs, a torso, shoulder pads, chains & skulls (hanging from the claws) ans helmet (apart from the horns) from the plastic berzerkers. Horns are from Kharn the Betrayer. The left claw comes from the chaos weapon plastic sprue, the right one comes from a metal chaos champion. The backpack has been orned with skulls from chaos plasma pistols and claws from dark eldars. 2 or 3 grenades have been added to the whole.

The Juggernaut model was widen out with milliput at the base of the four legs. The body have been covered with fur (sculpted in milliput) to broaden it out. 2 trophies were added to the back (space marine and eldar helms). The spears come from old juggernauts, banded with tin sheet for the leather lashes and enhanced with chains from the chaos vehicle sprue. Chains from the shoulders have been replaced by more massive ones from the same origin. The horns and the collar were sculpted in milliput. A skeleton (plasic sprue) ornate the saddle.

Standard bearer: the head has been changed with an old berzerker helm. I didn't want to have a bare head in this unit.

Berserk from the early year of the 2nd edition of WH40K. The tactical weapon is unusual for a berserk.
